Alison Ince manages the Research Collections at the National Geographic Library.  She supports the editorial and business needs of National Geographic staff by maintaining up-to-date research materials, including print books, e-books, periodicals, maps, and databases.  She provides reference assistance on a variety of topics relevant to National Geographic product and mission areas, especially those relating to science, natural history, and the environment.  She regularly teaches classes to staff on efficient Web search techniques.  She earned her M.S. in Library Science and M.A. in English Literature at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and her undergraduate degree in English Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She has worked in the National Geographic Library since 2002.
