Maggie Turqman has worked as a librarian at National Geographic since 2002, focusing on research, training, marketing, and emerging technology. The library serves the staff at National Geographic, where there is a strong demand for information on science and environmental topics. This includes content for magazines, books, television, and in support of the society’s research and educational mission programs. Maggie is currently the manager of research and training, and regularly teaches classes to National Geographic staff on how to do effective research, and has previously taught workshops at SLA on topics such as trends research, training, and podcasting. Maggie has an MLS from Unversity of Maryland and a BA from William and Mary.
